Early Explorations

Before IO SONO, my artistic research evolved over many years through digital scenography and video creation for international opera and performing arts productions. 

Shaping space through image, light, and movement profoundly informed my artistic vision.

Alongside this practice, I developed an independent photographic investigation based on long exposures, layered imagery, projections, and camera movement, created between Berlin, Italy, and Spain.

These early works mark the emergence of a distinctive visual language in which portraiture moves beyond the static image to become a space of transformation. 

They laid the conceptual and aesthetic foundations for the ongoing research that continues today through IO SONO.
